What are Zeolite

Zeolite During the development of the earth, nature has left us a precious gift – zeolite (clinoptilolite). It is a natural mineral with exceptional physical properties resulting from its special crystal structure.

Creation

Over millions of years, the layers of volcanic ash were exposed to high temperatures and pressures and this established the physical and chemical change which created a diverse group of zeolites, including the clinoptilolite. Clinoptilolite belongs to a large zeolite group called heulandite.

Specific physicochemical zeolite properties:

  • high ion exchange selectivity
  • reversible hydration and dehydration
  • high gas sorption capacity
  • high thermostability
  • resistance to aggressive media

Structure

Structure

The structure of clinoptilolite consists of three-dimensional grid which consists of Silicate tetrahedrite SiO44- each interconnected via oxygen atoms; the atoms of silicon is replaced by aluminum AlO45- way, creating a characteristic spatial structure with a significant incidence of cavities, interconnected by channels, in which metal cations, or water molecules are stored. The total volume of these cavities is 24 to 32 %.

Applications

  • cow

    Agro

Zeolite and its active substance, clinoptilolite, have various uses in agriculture. ZeoFeed is a product used in animal breeding as feed additive.

  • skyline

    Building

Yemen zeolite serves as a stabilizer in concrete construction and various blends such as coatings and adhesives.

  • Evori

    Enviro

Yemen zeolite adsorbs dioxins and heavy metals, in addition to picking up pollutants and odors in natural swimming ponds, where it ensures the purity and safety of water that is in contact with the skin.

  • factory

    Industry

Industrial requirements can be very specific and varied. It is therefore necessary to approach them individually and provide customers with tailored solutions.

Usage

The beginning of the use of zeolites dates back to the 50s of last century when the properties of this natural mineral were first examined.
Yemen quarries company, owns mining rights in the quarry of metalloprotein clinoptilolite belonging to a large group of zeolite. The site of the quarry is located in the Yemeni land. The richness and purity of this region symbolize this mine among the best in the world.
The method of extraction in the quarry fully corresponds to modern requirements and ensures the most possible a friendly approach to the nature.
